Chris Hollister, our President and CEO, was born and raised in Traverse City, Michigan. In the late ’90s, Chris started his business in Michigan, focusing on soft scape landscaping and lawn care. While seeding, sod, and lawn maintenance were a great start, Chris quickly realized his true passion was in building and creating — from pergolas and retaining walls to pavers and fire pits. With a family background in construction, the transition into hardscapes came naturally. Over time, his expertise expanded to include lighting, built-in barbecues, concrete work, and ponds.
In 2004, Chris relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, where he met his wife, Kim — a proud Arizona native. Together, they’ve built not only AZ Creations Landscaping but a family, raising their kids here in the Valley and planting deep roots in the community they love.
