Chris Hollister, our President and CEO, was born and raised in Traverse City, Michigan.
In the late ’90s, Chris started his business in Michigan, where he focused on soft scape landscaping and lawn care. Chris knew that seeding, sod, and lawn maintenance wasn’t where his passion truly was. He was more interested in building structures and hardscapes. With a family background in construction, this was a natural and easy transition for Chris. He started focusing his efforts on pergolas, retaining walls, and pavers. This continued to expand out to fire pits, concrete work, and rock walls. Over time, Chris added lighting, built-in barbecues, and ponds to his service offering.
Chris has always enjoyed the process of transitioning from a simple idea to the design and ultimately the build. In 2004, Chris relocated to Phoenix, Arizona. He took a small break from the landscape design industry, but his heart kept calling him back. AZ Creations Landscaping was born and Chris is back to focusing on all the services he loves.
